Community Support Worker – Fylde District Day Services
Location: Lytham, St Annes, Freckleton – Full Time – 37 hours per week – Permanent.
Salary: £24,404 – £25,183 per annum. Starting salary £24,404, increases each year for the next 3 years. 33% increment for weekend hours and 50% for bank holiday hours. £41.76 sleep‑in allowance. Up to 32 days annual leave plus 8 statutory bank holidays and 2 additional statutory bank holidays. Responsibilities
* Provide support and care in client homes, assisting with personal care, household chores, finances, medication and other daily activities.
* Support clients in participating in community activities, shopping, outdoor trips and other leisure pursuits.
* Communicate clearly and empathetically with clients and their families, offering reassurance and positivity.
* Attend induction and mandatory training to gain relevant qualifications, including QCF/NVQ Level 3 equivalents.
* Work collaboratively with the team to promote independence and well‑being for clients.
Qualifications & Skills
* Good heart and caring nature – no formal health or social care background required.
* Strong empathy, resilience and motivation to support clients through challenging behaviour.
* Excellent communication skills, both verbal and written.
