Domestic Violence and Abuse Family Support Worker

Shantona is looking for a committed and compassionate Domestic Violence and Abuse Family Support Worker to join our dynamic team. You will use your knowledge, experience, and caring nature to make a positive difference in the lives of women and families who are underrepresented and affected by domestic violence and abuse.
You will work primarily with Global Majority communities, including South Asian women and their families, providing one-to-one and group support. You will help women explore their options and rights for themselves and their children, taking a whole-family approach and providing wraparound support to access specialist services where needed.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Deliver trauma-informed one-to-one and group support
2. Empower women and families to understand their rights and options
3. Provide holistic, wraparound support and referral to specialist services
4. Maintain accurate records and uphold confidentiality
5. Work collaboratively with partner agencies
6. Preferably have proficiency in Bengali/Sylheti to support communication with clients from relevant communities.
