Finance Analyst Permanent Role Salary up to £48k Start - June 2025 Glasgow (free parking hybrid) Oliver Smith Recruitment are working in partnership with our key client in the Glasgow to recruit a Finance Analyst on a permanent basis. The role is reporting directly to the Finance Director, and Board of Directors, and will be a pivotal role within the business as you lead and manage the current finance team, producing all the monthly and statutory reports across multi entities and get involved in ongoing strategic projects. Our client is a well-established, large organisation within the FMCG industry. Known for their quality products and exceptional service, they have a strong presence across the UK with a significant market share, employing a substantial workforce. Duties: Perform financial forecasting, reporting, and operational metrics tracking. Analyse financial data and create financial models for decision support. Report on financial performance and prepare for regular leadership reviews. Work closely with the accounting team to ensure accurate financial reporting. Evaluate financial performance by comparing and analysing actual results with plans and forecasts. Prepare balance sheet reconciliations in a timely manner; identifying possible risks. Prepare and post journal entries, account analyses, and reports on a monthly/quarterly basis. Recommend actions by analysing and interpreting data and making comparative analyses. Increase productivity by developing automated reporting/forecasting tools. A successful Financial Analyst should have: Studying toward ACCA or CIMA (Actively) Strong proficiency in Excel and financial software applications. Knowledge of financial forecasting and diagnosis, corporate finance, and information analysis. Interviews will be held next week at our clients HQ.
