Job Title: Fabricator (Non-Welding)
Location: Doncaster, South Yorkshire
Employment Type: Full-time
Reports To: Workshop Manager / Team Leader
Job Purpose: To carry out the preparation, cutting, forming, and assembly of metal parts using fabrication machinery and tools, ensuring quality, accuracy, and efficiency.
Key Responsibilities:
1. Interpret and follow fabrication drawings and work orders
2. Operate machinery such as press brakes, guillotines, saws, and pillar drills
3. Cut and form aluminium and steel components to specification
4. Carry out mechanical assembly using hand tools (riveting, bolting, fitting)
5. Perform quality checks and ensure all components meet production standards
6. Move and organise materials safely within the workshop
7. Maintain a clean, safe working area and follow company health & safety practices
8. Collaborate with team members to meet production schedules
Required Skills & Experience:
* Previous experience in a fabrication or metalworking environment
* Confident with manual and powered fabrication equipment (excluding welding)
* Ability to read and understand technical drawings
* Good attention to detail and a strong work ethic
* Team player with the ability to work independently when required
Desirable (Bonus):
* Valid FLT Counterbalance licence or proven experience operating forklifts
* Familiarity with handling aluminium components
* Experience working in a fast-paced industrial or manufacturing setting
