About the role
As a member of the Marketing and Communications Team reporting to the Marketing and Communications Manager, this post will contribute to the department and the college's common goals. You will be responsible for taking the marketing lead on a key funding stream e.g. apprenticeships through account management, you will work as part of a team to manage college social media accounts and drive progress, in line with digital strategy.
You will also be required to plan and execute multi-channel advertising campaigns across all markets (e.g. B2B, schools leavers, university level, adult, international) and drive innovative practice across the marketing and communications function.
This is a maternity cover position with an end date of 22nd September 2026, or until the original post holder returns to work.
Main Responsibilities:
* Plan and produce high quality content/copy, relevant to target market and proof read to a high standard in line with college guidelines
* Mentor junior roles within the team e.g. marketing assistant and apprentice roles
* Work with key stakeholders to plan and deliver high quality events e.g. Student Celebration Awards, Freshers' Fair, Open Days
* Manage key projects e.g. employer skills academies, including project budget management
* Support the implementation of The Sheffield College alumni network
* Work as part of a team to plan and execute the college's internal communications plan
* Take responsibility for maintaining the college website portfolio, including course content, video, case studies and general testing
* Support with PR and award writing activity as appropriate
* Liaise with key agencies, including print, digital and design
* Support and drive the college's internal communications strategy

As the successful candidate, you will be offered a salary of between £28,207 - £32,917 per annum based upon a combination of the skills, knowledge and experience that you can bring to the role.
