The Role
We are seeking a skilled DT Teacher who can deliver engaging lessons across KS3 and KS4. You will play a key part in a supportive department that values creativity, hands‑on learning, and high standards.
You will be responsible for:
1. Planning and delivering exciting, practical DT lessons that inspire curiosity and independent thinking
2. Supporting pupils to develop skills in design, problem‑solving, and safe workshop practice
3. Contributing to the school’s culture of Care, Respect and Inspire
4. Embedding key values of Attitude, Resilience, Independence, Confidence, Pride and Aspiration into classroom practice
5. Assessing and tracking student progress to drive achievement
6. Creating a positive and inclusive learning environment
7. Working collaboratively with colleagues to develop resources and share best practice

The Ideal Candidate
8. Qualified Teacher Status (QTS)
9. Specialism in Design & Technology (Resistant Materials, Product Design, Engineering, Graphics or similar)
10. Passionate about hands‑on learning and practical teaching
11. Strong behaviour management and classroom presence
12. Able to promote the school’s ethos of Care, Respect and Inspire
13. Committed to high standards and positive relationships with pupils
