We currently have an exciting opportunity for a QC Shift Analyst to join the Flavours Quality team, working a rotating 2-shift pattern (Monday to Thursday: 06:00 until 14:00 or 14:00 until 22:00, Friday: 06:00 until 11:00 or 11:00 until 16:00).
The successful candidate will perform testing for all raw materials based on the specification and inspection plan developed for each product. They will also be responsible for detailed chemical analysis of customer samples/non-conformances using laboratory equipment.
Job Requirements
As a QC Shift Analyst, you will be responsible for:
* Completing analytical activities (raw material and finished product testing) to meet department KPIs, using techniques such as GC-FID, GC-MS, HPLC, Karl Fisher Titration (KF), UV spectroscopy, Particle size analysis, Steam distillation, Fat extraction, Metrohm autotitrator operation, and pH determination.
* Maintaining laboratory equipment in good order according to ISO17025 requirements, utilizing statistical techniques where applicable.
* Ensuring updated and adequate working methods are in place.
* Maintaining QM (Quality Module) master data to ensure materials are tested against current IFF specifications and CofA’s are not blocked.
* Performing detailed chemical investigations into internal and external non-conformances, including root cause analysis and preventative actions.
* Detailing rework requirements for failures.
* Ensuring laboratory supplies are sufficient.
Required Experience
* Prior laboratory and chemical analysis experience within a food or related industry.
Preferred Experience
* Bachelor's Degree in a science-related field (chemistry, biology, food science, etc.).
* In-depth knowledge of SAP functionality and IFF customer profiles.
