Key Responsibilities of the CNC Grinder:
Reading blueprints, process sheets, and sketches to determine machining requirements
Setting up and operating multi-axis CNC grinding and milling equipment
Selecting tooling, calculating feeds & speeds, and machining a variety of metals including steel, copper, brass, aluminium, and bronze
Downloading, editing, or writing CNC programs as needed
Performing quality inspections using precision instruments and gauging devices
Applying lean manufacturing principles to reduce setup times and improve throughput
Cleaning, finishing, and preparing components for shipment, including oiling, wrapping, and boxing
Ensuring all components meet exacting specifications

What Youll Bring:
Time-served apprenticeship or SVQ/NVQ Level 3 / HNC in Mechanical Engineering
5+ years experience on CNC machine tools in a lean manufacturing environment
Established experience with Rotary Table Grinder, CNC Table Grinder, or 5-Axis CNC Grinders
OR strong multi-axis milling experience (Correa, Doosan, or similar)
Skilled with control systems such as Fanuc, Mazak, Heidenhain, or Haas
Proven ability to hold ultra-tight tolerances (
Experience with precision inspection tools (micrometers, calipers, bore gauges, height gauges)
Ideally, experience in power generation, oil & gas, aerospace, or similar sectors
