Overview
HGV Class 2 Drivers. Richard Austin Alloys Ltd is a UK-based metal stockholder established in 1981, specialising in next-day delivery of Aluminium and Stainless Steel. Our drivers are the face of the business, and we are expanding our West Midlands operation with new permanent/full-time Class 2 driver opportunities.
Responsibilities
* Deliver metal to various customer locations safely and efficiently.
* Complete documentation accurately with attention to detail.
* Adhere to safe working practices to ensure personal and colleague safety.
* Carry out daily vehicle checks and maintain the truck in good condition.
* Be flexible with finish times as required by the business.
* Comply with all relevant legislation, including Drivers Hours and Working Time Directive requirements.
* Perform other reasonable duties as assigned by a supervisor or manager.
Requirements (The Person)
* At least 2 years of experience driving a Class 2 vehicle.
* Up-to-date driver CPC.
* Customer-focused with the ability to maintain positive relationships with internal and external customers.
* Good timekeeping and able to work unsupervised.
* Enthusiastic, reliable, with a commitment to delivering first-class customer service.
* Good communication skills and a flexible "can do" attitude.
* Previous experience desirable but not essential, as job-specific training will be provided.
Benefits
* Permanent position with typical hours: 40.5 hours per week, starting at 06:00, with overtime paid at time and a half. No weekends, nights, or bank holidays.
* 25 days holiday entitlement plus bank holidays.
* Basic salary 27,500 per annum (OTE 31,000 to 33,000 including overtime and profit share).
* Uniform provided; CPC training provided once per year; cycle to work scheme; on-site parking.
