Inside Sales Representative – RFMW, Lincoln (office based)
RFMW is a specialty electronics distribution company focused on RF, microwave, and power components and semiconductors, plus component engineering support. Our mission is to be the go-to technical solution partner for customers seeking specialized RF&MW components from leading manufacturers.
The Inside Sales Representative, under the direction of the Inside Sales Manager, drives growth of our customer base, maintains high levels of customer satisfaction, and achieves monthly sales quotas while adhering to gross margin targets for specific customers. The role requires proactive, detail-oriented collaboration with teams across the UK and Europe, along with accurate inventory, quality control, on-time delivery, and safe working practices.
What You Will Do
Sales Generation
* Generate new and repeat sales by promptly providing product information and responding to price requests.
* Prepare and deliver accurate quotes within specified timeframes.
Order Management
* Utilize our internal Yukon System to accurately process and manage customer transactions, including orders, quotes, returns, and samples.
* Efficiently handle opportunity tracking, design registrations, and ship & debits.
Customer Engagement
* Collaborate with Field Sales and Product Management teams to determine customer requirements and expectations.
* Recommend specific products and solutions based on customer needs.
* Suggest alternate products considering factors like cost, availability, and specifications.
* Provide up-to-date information on the availability of in-stock items.
* Obtain accurate information from vendors regarding shipment dates and expected delivery.
* Proactively recommend additional items to enhance customer satisfaction and transaction profitability.
* Increase sales and average order size through cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales.
Quality Assurance
* Monitor delivery dates and ensure products meet customer requirements and quality expectations.
Product Knowledge
* Continuously expand product knowledge by participating in RFMW or supplier-sponsored training.
* Utilize resources, including product literature, supplier representatives, product managers, and sales managers, to discuss product options with customers and highlight RFMWs strengths.
Collaboration
* Collaborate closely with Product Management teams, Regional Sales Managers and other internal stakeholders.
* Proactively recommend products and services to increase sales and average order size through cross-selling, up-selling, and add-on sales.
Shipping
* Receive and inspect incoming products against purchase orders.
* Verify part numbers, quantities, and lot codes.
* Pick and pack items accurately, generating barcodes when needed.
* Ship products using the RFMW system and verify part numbers.
* Manage inventory, conduct cycle counts, and maintain records.
* Ensure order accuracy in a fast-paced environment.
What You'll Bring
* GCSEs (or equivalent) in English and Mathematics, with a pass at grade 4 or above.
* Proven experience in inside sales or a related customer-facing role is advantageous.
* Familiarity with CRM software and order processing systems.
* Excellent communication and negotiation skills.
* Strong attention to detail and organizational abilities.
* Ability to work collaboratively within a team.
* Self-motivated and driven to achieve sales targets.
* Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Word, Excel, Outlook).
* Willingness to learn and adapt to changing product knowledge and technology.
