Title: AWS Cloud Engineer – AWS Connect
Day Rate: £500 – £550pd (Outside IR35)
Duration: 6+ Months
Based: One day per month in-office (UK-wide) / Fully remote considered for the right candidate
Required Experience:
* Proven hands-on experience with AWS cloud services across multiple production environments.
* Demonstrable experience delivering at least one project using Amazon Connect.
* Solid programming skills in Python, with experience building automation, tooling, or integrations in cloud environments.
* Strong practical knowledge of AWS infrastructure including EC2, Lambda, CloudFormation, IAM, VPC, S3, and CloudWatch.
* Background in architecting and building scalable, secure cloud-native applications.
* Proficiency in Infrastructure as Code (IaC) tools such as Terraform or AWS CloudFormation.
* Experience with DevOps practices including CI/CD pipelines, monitoring, and logging.
* Ability to work independently with minimal supervision, and effectively communicate with both technical and non-technical stakeholders.
* Any exposure to contact centre technology or customer engagement platforms is highly desirable.
Key Responsibilities:
* Design and implement robust cloud solutions with a focus on high availability, security, and scalability.
* Take ownership of integrating and optimising AWS Connect within existing infrastructure.
* Develop automation scripts and tools using Python to streamline cloud operations and deployment processes.
* Collaborate with cross-functional teams including Developers, DevOps Engineers, and Product Owners.
* Maintain clear documentation and ensure infrastructure complies with best practices and security standards.
* Monitor and troubleshoot production environments, driving improvements in performance and resilience.
* Provide guidance and mentorship on AWS best practices across the team.
