Rutherford Cross is delighted to be working with an organisation based outside of Glasgow operating in the leisure and tourism sector to appoint a Finance Business Partner for a 12-month period. As a Finance Business Partner, you will play a key role in financial planning, reporting and decision support across the organisation. You’ll collaborate with senior leaders, project teams and operational managers to provide insight, challenge and guidance to support strategic objectives. Duties & Responsibilities: Prepare monthly management accounts and financial reports for managers, the Executive team, the Board and its committees, including detailed commentary and variance analysis Complete and submit monthly budget monitoring reports in line with reporting requirements Act as a finance business partner to budget holders, supporting the preparation, profiling and monitoring of budgets at team, salary and organisational levels. Contribute to the development and enhancement of financial reporting from the finance system Support the preparation of annual statutory accounts and coordinate with External Audit as required Monitor and interpret statutory and regulatory changes affecting financial accounting, advising on and implementing necessary updates to internal policies, controls and accounting practices Provide financial advice, analysis and guidance across the organisation to support effective decision making and business planning Assist in drafting and maintaining financial policies, procedures and internal controls Ad hoc duties as required The Ideal Candidate: Qualified, Part Qualified or ‘Qualified by Experience’ Experience of preparing and presenting management accounts, budgets and forecasts Intermediate Excel skills Available within 4 weeks’ notice On Offer: £36,000 - £43,000 p.a. 35 hour working week Hybrid and flexible working Generous annual leave and pension Our client is an equal opportunities employer and positively encourages applications from suitably qualified and eligible candidates regardless of sex, race, disability, age, sexual orientation, gender reassignment, religion or belief, marital status or pregnancy and maternity.
