Location: Salford Background check required: None Closing Date: 14 May 2024 We're looking for an Apprentice Planner to join our Rail team based in Salford, Greater Manchester, working towards a Level 3 apprenticeship in Transport Planning. This is a fantastic opportunity to join a leading construction and infrastructure services company on an apprenticeship. Whilst working towards a recognised qualification, you'll be able to put your learnings into practice in your day-to-day role, helping you progress within your chosen career. Location: Salford, Greater Manchester (Based from office initially, then from site in Salford from Oct 2024) Contract: Permanent Salary: £16,000 per annum How does an apprenticeship work? As an Apprentice Planner you'll be enrolled onto a Level 3 apprenticeship in Transport Planning, giving you the opportunity to earn whilst you learn. You'll work closely with the Kier Transportation team supporting them with all planning aspects on a wide range of rail projects for a diverse customer base. Your day to day will include: Understanding the programme and how this can influence the company, including profitability Creating plans using various tools, supporting how a project develops into a plan from principles Assisting with and maintaining contractual terms and conditions, including how these are presented Reading and interpreting various drawings throughout the project timeline What are we looking for?
