Community Safety Assistant Nottingham - Clifton £29,539 - £34,613 per annumHere at NCHA, we have an exciting opportunity to join our friendly and supportive Community Safety team as a Community Safety Assistant.Our team plays a vital role in helping our customers feel safe in their homes and communities by responding to reports of anti-social behaviour (ASB), investigating incidents, and taking appropriate action where tenancy breaches occur. This is a varied and rewarding role where you will act as a key point of contact, supporting investigations and ensuring reports are assessed, prioritised, and progressed appropriately.What youll be doing As a Community Safety Assistant, your responsibilities will include: Acting as the first point of contact for all ASB reports via phone, email, web and referralsTriaging and assessing incoming reports, deciding whether they meet the threshold for ASB case managementLogging and managing cases within the React ASB system in line with policy and procedureAllocating cases to the most appropriate officer based on workload and case factorsCommunicating with customers, managing sensitive conversations, and explaining outcomes where cases do not meet criteriaCarrying out initial risk assessments and identifying harm levels for complainantsSupporting investigations by:Contacting complainants and providing updatesArranging appointmentsUploading and managing evidenceMaking referrals to partner agenciesManaging low-level ASB cases from start to closure, including applying appropriate actions or sanctionsCCTV and evidence handling Managing requests for CCTV footage from internal and external stakeholdersInterrogating systems to locate and download footageSharing evidence securely with partners (e.g. police)Preparing witness statements and attending court where requiredWorking pattern 35 hours per weekMonday to Friday (core daytime hours)Opportunity for split shifts to support team coverage across the dayWere looking for someone who is: Experienced in a customer-facing role, ideally dealing with sensitive or complex situationsCalm, professional, and confident when handling challenging conversationsAble to analyse information, apply policies and make sound decisionsHighly organised, with strong attention to detailComfortable working with systems and maintaining accurate recordsIt would be great if you also have: Knowledge of anti-social behaviour, tenancy agreements or investigationsExperience working with CCTV systems and evidence handlingExperience working with partner agencies or in a housing, legal or enforcement setting(Dont worry if you dont meet all of these training can be provided.)Why join us?
