About the Role:
As a Disability Support Worker, you will play a key role in empowering individuals with physical and/or learning disabilities to live independently and with dignity. This role offers the chance to build meaningful relationships and contribute to the well-being and personal development of those in your care.
Key Responsibilities:
* Provide tailored support to individuals with disabilities in their daily activities.
* Assist with personal care, mobility, and communication needs.
* Encourage independence and participation in community and social activities.
* Collaborate with healthcare professionals, families, and other support staff.
* Maintain accurate records and contribute to care planning and reviews.
Candidate Requirements:
* Experience supporting individuals with disabilities is desirable.
* Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
* A caring, patient, and resilient approach to support work.
* Relevant qualifications in health and social care are advantageous but not essential.
To work as a Disability Support Worker, you should:
* Have the right to work in the UK.
* Provide an up-to-date CV with two relevant references from the last 2 years.
* Hold a DBS registered to the update service or be willing to apply for one.
