Nomura's Investment Banking division provides advisory and capital‑raising solutions to corporations, financial institutions, governments and public‑sector organisations worldwide. The Junior Administrative Assistant supports senior bankers across various teams, ensuring smooth coordination and execution of day‑to‑day tasks.
Responsibilities
* Provide day‑to‑day administrative and logistical support to investment bankers.
* Manage and coordinate complex calendars, schedule virtual and in‑person meetings, and coordinate calls across multiple time zones.
* Arrange domestic and international travel, including itineraries, logistics, accommodation and ground transportation.
* Prepare, edit and format presentation materials, pitch books and client documentation using PowerPoint, Excel and Word.
* Handle expense processing, invoice processing and reimbursement in line with firm policies.
* Maintain confidentiality and discretion when handling sensitive client or firm information.
* Support onboarding activities for new hires and assist with their set‑up/access and maintain team distribution lists.
* Liaise with internal departments (Finance, HR, Compliance, IT) to ensure seamless execution of admin tasks.
* Provide general office support by covering other assistants during absences.
* Screen calls and take comprehensive messages.
* Act as first point of contact for senior bankers, clients and colleagues, fielding queries and responding to fast‑moving issues.
Required Qualifications
* Minimum 1 year of administrative or operations experience, ideally within financial services.
* Strong proficiency in Microsoft Office (Excel, PowerPoint, Word, Outlook, Teams).
* Exceptional attention to detail, accuracy and organisational skills.
* Ability to prioritise tasks, meet tight deadlines and manage competing demands.
* Professional written and verbal communication skills.
* Discretion and integrity in handling confidential information.
