Business Development Manager

The Role:
This is an exciting, full-time permanent opportunity for a Business Development Manager to join a global leader in luxury retail packaging. You'll be field-based, prospecting into top-tier fashion, cosmetics, jewellery, and lifestyle brands. With a strong ecommerce presence across your target sectors, you'll drive new business by developing high-value relationships with key decision-makers including CFOs, Heads of Marketing, Buyers, and Procurement Leads.
As Business Development Manager, you will own the sales process end-to-end; identifying opportunities, managing complex sales cycles, and delivering bespoke packaging solutions that reflect each client's identity and sustainability goals. Collaboration is key, working closely with internal design, production, and logistics teams to create impactful packaging experiences.
This is a client-facing, strategic role that mixes creativity with commercial focus. You'll stay ahead of packaging and retail trends, promoting eco-friendly, traceable solutions that reinforce the company's global reputation for innovation and excellence.
Requirements:
To be considered for the Business Development Manager role:
* Minimum 2 years of B2B new business sales experience
* Proven success managing complex sales cycles
* Strong commercial acumen and consultative approach
* Experience working with or selling into luxury brands preferred
* Comfortable working autonomously while coordinating with global teams
The Package for Business Development Manager:
* Basic salary: £50-60,000 + 20k uncapped
* Electric company car
* 25 days holiday + bank holidays
* Hybrid working (1 day per week in Leicester office)
