Here at ISS, as one of the UK's leading Facilities Management (FM) providers, we are looking to recruit an established Sustainability professional to deliver on a brand new, and truly major public sector contract.
The client is a major government customer, possessing an extensive national estate of offices and corporate facilities. The employer is looking to provide services across Engineering, Cleaning, and Sustainability to ensure the client's estate is well maintained.
You will work within a team matrix structure, navigate key stakeholder relationships, and support the overall programme, including key customer contacts, contractors, and the wider Account team.
This is a fantastic role for a Sustainability professional to develop on one of the largest Sustainability FM UK contracts.
Key actions include:
* Lead the delivery of sustainability services in line with the contract specification.
* Develop and drive the Sustainability Management Plan, monitor progress, promote achievements, and ensure all reporting is delivered.
* Engage with employee champions network.
* Set environmental objectives and targets annually.
* Establish a governance framework and engage with senior stakeholders to keep sustainability plans relevant and updated.
* Embed digital approaches to CSR and sustainability reporting.
* Validate carbon data for reporting, seek external certification, and monitor performance.
* Work with the Operations Performance Sustainability team to build the Sustainability Management System, including core documents like the Sustainability Improvement plan, carbon reduction plan, and biodiversity net gain.
* Design reporting and assurance processes around sustainability and support other departments with their objectives.
* Collaborate with the Operations Performance team to develop site environmental risk assessments and priorities.
Requirements from you:
* Proven sustainability experience within delivery and knowledge of ISO standards.
* Experience working within a complex matrix team structure is preferred.
