With a strong forward order book and long-term growth plans, this is very much a role with prospects, offering genuine career progression into a Commercial Management role within the next year.The RoleDue to continued expansion, the business is seeking a Quantity Surveyor who is confident running their own projects end-to-end and wants to take the next step in their commercial career.You will initially manage 5-6 live projects at any one time, typically ranging from £50k-£500k, while also contributing to estimating and tendering activities.Importantly, this role offers a clear opportunity to step into a Commercial Management position within the next 12 months, with responsibility for overseeing and developing the Estimating function.Key ResponsibilitiesFull commercial management of demolition and enabling works projectsProducing valuations, managing variations, and concluding final accountsPreparing estimates for tendered and negotiated worksCommercial reporting, cost control, and forecastingIssuing Early Warning Notices and managing compensation eventsWorking under NEC contractsLiaising with site teams, clients, and directorsSupporting and mentoring junior commercial staff as the role developsAbout YouExperience as a Quantity SurveyorBackground in demolition, civils, or groundworks, or specialist contractorProven ability to run your own projects independentlyConfident managing variations, notices, and cost reportingAmbitious, forward-thinking, and keen to progress into Commercial ManagementWhat's on Offer£45,000 - £60,000 salary (dependent on experience)Car allowanceA clear progression route into Commercial Management within the next year
