If you have a green thumb, a great work ethic, and enjoy working in beautiful surroundings that support young people’s education, we’d love to hear from you.</p><p><b>What Youll Be Doing:</b></p><ul><li>Maintaining school grounds to a high standard: mowing, hedge cutting, pruning, planting, and general upkeep.</li><li>Using a range of grounds maintenance equipment safely and effectively.</li><li>Keeping storage areas tidy and tools well maintained.</li><li>Supporting the delivery of safe, accessible, and beautiful outdoor spaces for students and staff.</li><li>Following environmental and health & safety policies while performing all duties.</li></ul><p><b>What We’re Looking For:</b></p><ul><li>Experience in grounds maintenance, horticulture or landscaping.</li><li>A team player with a positive, can‑do attitude.</li><li>Physically fit and comfortable working outdoors in all weathers.</li><li>Enthusiasm for maintaining green spaces and sports pitches.</li><li>Understanding of health & safety procedures and willingness to learn.</li></ul><p><b>It’d Be Great If You Also Have:</b></p><ul><li>Horticulture or technical qualifications.</li><li>Experience working in an educational or public setting.</li><li>Familiarity with artificial turf maintenance or pesticide use (PA1/PA6).</li><li>Full UK driving licence.</li></ul><p><b>What we offer:</b></p><ul><li>Local government pension scheme with generous employer contributions</li><li>Employee Reward Scheme, including high‑street discounts & Staff Wellbeing Centre</li><li>Free on‑site parking</li></ul><p><b>Closing date: Wednesday 10th June 2026</b></p><p>We believe in hiring for potential and this means that we value individuals for the knowledge skills and experience that they have developed in every aspect of their lives.
