JPM - Fake or Fortune?, Entertainment, Bristol
Fake or Fortune? is a thrilling, investigative art history detective story which endeavours to uncover the truth about mysterious works of art and other treasures. Using cutting edge science, academic research and advice from renowned experts in their respective fields, our team seek to find new evidence that might support an attribution – or challenge it. The series is presented by international art dealer Philip Mould and news presenter and journalist Fiona Bruce.
The series films throughout the year at various locations around the world. Our Production Management team consists of – Production Exec, Production Manager, Junior Production Manager and a PMA.
We are currently recruiting for an experienced JPM to join our new series in Bristol. The JPM is a pivotal role in the production team, working closely with the Production Manager and Series Producer and is instrumental in the day to day smooth running of the project. We’re looking for a candidate who possesses excellent communication skills, problem-solving abilities, and a can-do attitude. You will be working on a number of filming leads at one time, so being a good multi-tasker, pro active and super organised is key- being passionate about the arts world and an investigation is important too!
This is a great opportunity for someone who is looking to further their experience and looking to step up to PM. The role covers all aspects of production management, from the pre-production through to post-production process and delivery of episodes to UK and Worldwide broadcasters.

Responsibilities include:
•Working with the Series Producer & Production Manager to effectively schedule multiple filming teams. Juggling a fast-paced schedule within a changing environment. Working across up to four stories filming at any one time, which could also include some foreign filming. You will be a key part of the production process, ensuring resources and editorial aspirations are aligned.
•Budgeting – alongside the Production Manager to maintain an overview of the entire series budget. Accurately forecasting filming spend and keeping up to date cost monitors. Responsible for specific areas of production budget whilst supporting the rest of the team with preparation and management of their episode spend.
•Scheduling and managing all post-production bookings. Sourcing and booking editors, scheduling final post in order to deliver all programmes according to the delivery schedule.
•Day to day line-management responsibilities for PMAs and Runners.
•An understanding of sourcing and clearing a wide range of archive material for Worldwide distribution. Ensuring all necessary rights are acquired for the complete delivery of the production, escalating any issues at the earliest stage
•Forming positive external relationships with resource providers, contributors, artists and their agents as well as freelancers
•Alongside the Production Manager, complete the Silvermouse PasCs reconciliation process and producer sign off.
•Completing & Submitting the I&RP Ofcom Compliance Forms
•Assisting in ensuring compliance with BBC policies, guidelines, legislative and regulatory requirements, in order to minimise the BBC’s exposure to risk
•Ensuring compliance with GDPR and BBC data protection policies.
•This role will champion environmentally responsible practices and ensure compliance with Albert certification.
•Completing IT onboarding for new starters and liaising with the IT team.

Required experience:
•Prior experience as a JPM working on a fast turnaround production and juggling multiple filming teams at any one time
•Able to demonstrate strong organisational and planning skills and managing conflicting demands to meet deadlines
•Demonstrable experience managing specific areas of a production budget and supporting overall budget oversight.
•Ability to liaise with on-screen experts/presenters regarding scheduling commitments and logistics
•Some foreign filming experience would be beneficial but not essential
•Comprehensive understanding of sourcing and clearing archive content for global distribution
•Experience in post-production, managed bookings, sourced editors, and delivered episodes within schedule
•Proven ability to manage PMAs and Runners on a day-to-day basis.
•In-depth knowledge of Silvermouse, especially for PasC reconciliation and producer sign-off.
•Albert certification for environmentally responsible practices
