As a SEND Teaching Assistant / Support Worker, you won’t just assist with lessons—you’ll be a vital part of a team helping young people rebuild trust in education, develop coping strategies, and celebrate personal achievements, whether that’s completing a worksheet or managing a calm morning routine.
You will work closely with teachers, SENCOs, and other professionals to provide one-to-one and group support, assist with individual education plans, and help children access the curriculum in a safe, inclusive environment.
Key Responsibilities & Qualities:
* Support pupils with SEND (autism, ADHD, SEMH, complex needs)
* Help implement personalised learning and behaviour plans
* Build positive, trusting relationships
* Work with staff and external agencies to meet pupils’ needs
* Experience with SEND or SEMH pupils
* Calm, caring attitude, even on tough days
* Flexible team player with a good sense of humour
* Passionate about making young people feel supported and valued

All pay rates quoted will be inclusive of 12.07% statutory holiday pay. This advert is for a temporary position. In some cases, the option to make this role permanent may become available at a later date.
