About the Role:

* Prepare and serve nutritious meals, adhering to dietary requirements and preferences.
* Collaborate with the Head Chef to plan menus that showcase fresh, seasonal ingredients.
* Oversee day-to-day kitchen operations, ensuring efficient food production within established guidelines.
* Maintain accurate records of food supplies and monitor storage conditions to guarantee food safety and quality.
* Conduct stock management tasks, including ordering and inventory checks.
* Adhere to health and safety protocols, promoting a safe and hygienic environment throughout the kitchen and dining areas.
Requirements:
* Culinary qualifications (City & Guilds 706 1 & 2 or equivalent).
* Basic Food Hygiene Certificate.
* Excellent communication skills to effectively interact with colleagues and understand resident needs.
* Able to work independently and take initiative when required.
Desirable Qualifications:
* Prior experience in preparing meals for specific dietary needs.
* Familiarity with care environments, although not essential.
