Job Description
As a Housing Officer within the Homelessness Team, you will be responsible for delivering a wide range of services to homeless households.
Core Responsibilities
You should have experience working in a housing support service with clients in vulnerable or distressed situations.
You should understand current issues and legislation relating to the protection of children and vulnerable adults.
You should be proficient with IT packages, including Academy and the Microsoft Office Suite.
You should demonstrate the ability to organise and prioritise work, respond and adapt to changing priorities to deliver a quality service.
You should possess excellent communication skills and the ability to liaise effectively with a variety of agencies.
Required Skills & Qualifications
* Experience in housing support with vulnerable clients.
* Knowledge of legislation protecting children and vulnerable adults.
* Practical knowledge of Academy and Microsoft Office Suite.
* Strong organisational and prioritisation skills.
* Excellent communication and liaison abilities.
Job Details
* Location: East Kilbride Local Office
* Hours: 35 hours per week, Permanent
* Work Pattern: Monday – Thursday 8.45am – 4.45pm; Friday 8.45am – 4.15pm
* Salary: £32,337 – £33,231 per year
