The role of BPA Pricing Actuary will report directly to the Head of BPA Pricing. You will be a key member of the Bulk Purchase Annuity Pricing Team and undertaking a variety of different tasks.
1. Review and verify data preparation and analysis for Defined Benefit pension scheme pricing, including handling missing data.
2. Check pension scheme cash-flow modeling using valuation systems.
3. Support and mentor junior team members.
4. Investigate factors influencing pricing assumptions.
5. Perform BPA pricing and reporting under Solvency II, UK GAAP, and IFRS17 standards.
6. Assist managers in implementing changes to pricing models.
7. Complete ad hoc tasks as needed.
8. Follow FCA and PRA conduct and consumer duty rules.
9. Report any required matters to regulators promptly
MUST HAVE
10. 3 or 4 years of experience of working in DB pensions- at an Employee Benefit Consultancy (EBC) or in the BPA team at an insurer / reinsurer.
11. Newly qualified Actuary or nearly qualified actuary with relevant experience either continuing exams or stopped.
12. Experience of DB pension modelling
13. Experienced in insurance BPA cashflow modelling and pricing desirable
14. Experience of pension scheme buy-outs in a risk transfer team at an EBC desirable
15. Experience of Mantle systems desirable
