KBR are looking recruit Lead Process Engineers x8 to join usin Leatherhead on 12+ month contracts.

Core Responsibilities:
Leading or working within a team of process engineers you will advise, and contribute to the following:
1. Leading a team either within a large project or for smaller projects
2. Control manhours and budget and ensure process work is completed in line with the project schedule
3. Approval, checking or support the production of : process simulations to produce heat and material balances, process and utility flow diagrams, piping and instrument diagrams, calculations for the design or rating of equipment and apparatus such as heat exchangers, vessels, reactors, etc. and to develop system design parameters. process hydraulic calculations for pump and line sizing piping and instrument data to support downstream disciplines
4. Leading the development of concepts from client specifications
5. supporting and producing technical and techno-economic studies
6. responsible for the development of advanced controls/process optimization
7. Liaison with other disciplines, project management and client
Skills / Experience:
Essential
8. Experience leading a team of more than 10 process engineers.
9. Experience communicating across a multi-discipline team and across different offices.
10. Understanding of requirements of other disciplines as part of project execution.
11. Experience of workhour control and working to schedule and within budget on a major project.
12. Good organizational skills
13. Developing presentations and experience communicating with client team
14. Understanding of development of proposals for new projects
15. Must be able to drive quality within the process team and ensure high standards are met in the terms of consistency and checking of deliverables
16. Clear understanding of complex equipment sizing calculations and have experience specifying equipment
17. Experience of complex relief valve sizing cases and preparation of calculations
18. Experience of vessel and exchanger specification and sizing
19. Experience taking a leading role in a safety review (HazOp/SIL/LOPA)
20. Experience of developing hydraulic calculations for complex circuits
21. Good understanding of process control and experience developing/checking cause and effect diagrams
22. Strong written communication skills and experience of writing technical reports.
23. Self-motivated and a good communication skills to enable effective team working.
24. Flexibility to work across a number of different technologies.
Desirable
25. Experience building simulation models in Hysys/Promax or similar simulation tool for complex simulations and ability to explain / train younger engineers
26. Experience of working on conceptual studies
27. Experience training/mentoring younger engineers either informally or through a formal training scheme
28. Experience using COMOS
Qualifications:
29. BSc degree in Chemical Engineering or equivalent
30. 15+ years experience working with a major EPC contractor or operator.
