Job Description
If you're driven by complex challenges, multidisciplinary environments, and projects that genuinely shape how industries operate - this is your next role. As a Civil & Structural Engineer, you’ll work in sectors including power, delivering the civil and structural solutions that make these projects possible.
What You’ll Be Doing
You’ll contribute to high‑impact UK projects, applying both your engineering expertise across a range of technically demanding sites.
* Designing and specifying structural engineering solutions aligned to British Standards, Eurocodes and project deliverables.
* Producing drawings, specifications, reports, site surveys, and construction‑stage support.
* Checking calculations and drawings to ensure quality, compliance, and buildability.
* Collaborating closely with architects, civil engineers, mechanical/electrical teams, and project managers.
* Reviewing subcontractor designs and ensuring technical alignment with project intent.
* Contributing to fee estimates, scopes, tender reviews and change control documents.
* Supporting and mentoring early‑career engineers and championing best practice across the team.
What You’ll Bring
* A degree in Civil or Structural Engineering.
* Working towards (or already progressing strongly toward) Chartered or Incorporated status with ICE or IStructE.
* Solid experience delivering design (not site based design reviews) in at least one relevant sector - power, life sciences, industry, or similar complex environments.
* Strong experience working in a design consultancy in a design role (not site based design reviewing)
* Proficiency in MasterSeries, STAAD, Tedds or similar analysis tools.
* Strong understanding of CDM Regulations, UK technical standards, and structural design codes.
* Clear, confident communication - able to translate complex engineering into simple, actionable ideas.
Why You’ll Love It Here
* Work on high‑impact and complex projects shaping the UK’s most innovative sectors.
* Join a supportive engineering community that values technical excellence, continuous learning, and collaboration.
* Opportunities to develop leadership skills and mentor others.
* Real responsibility, real visibility, and real career progression.
* Support to reaching chartership and beyond!
