Job Description
This is a great fit for someone ready to step into a hands-on finance role within a friendly, values-led environment. You’ll be supporting the day-to-day financial activity of a busy department.
From processing claims and journals to supporting budget monitoring and producing reports, you’ll play a vital role in keeping everything running smoothly, and helping others stay focused on what matters. The last person in this role was promoted internally, and there’s a real commitment here to learning, development and doing things well.
You’ll be liaising with a range of colleagues, some finance-savvy, some not, so a clear, calm, and collaborative approach is key.
What’s on offer:
* Hybrid working
* Supportive pace and structure
* A team that values accuracy, communication and initiative
We’re looking for someone who:
* Has experience in a not-for-profit or higher education finance setting
* Is part-qualified or newly qualified (ACCA, CIMA, or similar)
* Can confidently handle claims, journals, and expense processes
* Is comfortable preparing reports and spotting issues in budgets
* Communicates well with both finance and non-finance colleagues
* Brings a methodical, steady approach, with a dash of curiosity
If you’re looking for a fixed term opportunity where you can bring structure, clarity and care to the numbers, and work with a team that appreciates it, we’d love to hear from you.
