The centre supports their healthcare, educational, and emotional needs within a safe and structured environment. The Role As a Registered General Nurse, you will deliver high-quality, person-centred care to young people within a secure setting. Working alongside a multidisciplinary team, youll ensure the wellbeing and safety of all patients through skilled clinical care, effective communication, and professional integrity. Key responsibilities include: Conducting medication rounds and managing controlled drugs Responding to medical emergencies and providing post-incident care Completing triage assessments and coordinating referrals Managing minor illnesses and injuries Leading on specific healthcare areas and contributing to care planning Supporting Early Days in Custody assessments and pre-release planning Shift patterns: Early (7:30am3:30pm) and Late (1:30pm9:30pm) Person Specification Essential: NMC registered nurse (active PIN) Experience in clinical or community healthcare settings Strong communication, organisation, and decision-making skills Proficiency with IT systems (Word, SystmOne, Gmail, Google Apps) Desirable: Experience in custodial or secure settings Experience working with young people 1 year post-registration clinical experience Additional Information This role requires an enhanced Disclosure and Barring Service (DBS ) check under the Rehabilitation of Offenders Act (Exceptions Order) 1975.
