Opportunities have arisen for several Fabricator / Welders to work either a Day shift or Backshift, to join an industry leader in the UK's Building Services sector in Scarva. The company delivers a wide range of offsite-prefabricated, innovative, and sustainable building service solutions throughout the UK & Europe.
Job Summary
We require experienced Fabricators to fabricate a range of pipe arrangements to support a team of skilled welders. The successful candidates will be required to be on site each day within the fabrication/welding facility, fabricating pipe arrangements from shop drawings.
The ability to produce some or all types of welds, including TIG, MMA, and MAG, for assembly purposes is required, with opportunities to develop skills in various welding disciplines and in-house welding procedures.
Day shift: Mon-Thursday 7am - 5pm, Fri 7am - 4pm
Backshift: Mon-Thursday
Salary: Competitive depending on experience, with an 18% uplift for the Backshift.
Key Responsibilities
* Fabricate pipe sets for various diameters (typically carbon steel & stainless steel pipes ranging from 65mm - 500mm) from shop drawings.
* Use of metal cutting and grinding equipment.
* Read and fully understand the pipe fabrication drawings for each project.
* Ensure company welding procedures are adhered to and pipe preparation and fit-up are carried out to the correct standard.
Essential Criteria
* Minimum of 3 years' experience as an established fabricator.
* Experience working with various ferrous and nonferrous metals, pipes, flanges, and other components.
* Ability to interpret welding procedure requirements.
* Confidence in understanding shop fabrication and assembly drawings.
Desired Criteria
* Previous experience as a pipe fabricator producing a wide range of pipe arrangements.
* Experience within heavy fabrication, architectural steelwork, or welding environments.
* Experience operating machines such as Pipe Beveller, Plasma Cutter, Press Brake, TIG, MIG, and MAG welders, and related equipment.
