This is an excellent opportunity for qualified vehicle mechanics to join a busy fleet maintenance operation supporting a large and diverse range of vehicles, plant and specialist equipment. The successful candidates will play a key role in ensuring vehicles remain safe, compliant and operational while contributing to the efficient delivery of essential public services. The RoleYou will be responsible for carrying out planned and reactive maintenance, inspections, diagnostics and repairs across a varied fleet including:Light commercial vehicles and vansHeavy goods vehicles (HGVs)Refuse collection vehiclesRoad sweepersGrounds maintenance equipmentPlant and specialist machinery You will also assist with vehicle inspections, fault finding, breakdown response, fleet compliance and maintaining accurate maintenance records. The role may involve supervising temporary staff, supporting training activities and acting as Foreperson on a rotational basis when required.
