Responsibilities
* Work directly with our clients to achieve their sustainable transport needs
* Act as Project Director or Project Manager on a wide range of projects whilst helping to grow and develop our work with clients
* Stay informed about industry trends and best practice
* Oversee projects budget and financial performance
* Undertake technical preparation, review and checking of deliverables within the team
* Work collaboratively with the Liveable Places team and our colleagues in the wider Mobility team and the wider WSP business to achieve our aims and objectives
Team
Liveable Places work with a wide range of local authority & private clients from across the UK to help them achieve their place‑making ambitions. We deliver a wide range of schemes from concept to delivery that include public realm, traffic engineering, road safety, traffic signals, pedestrian / traffic modelling, active travel, and parking. The team is based across the country with over 200 staff, currently growing.
Requirements
* A civil engineering degree or equivalent
* Chartered membership of a relevant professional body
* Proven ability to lead and manage project teams and individuals
* Proven ability to successfully deliver projects
* Proven track record in project management and financial control
* Passion for mentoring and developing talent
* Highway, transport, traffic signals and road safety engineering experience
* Excellent ability to engage with stakeholders including public sector officials, members of the public and other senior colleagues
