Supporting the Senior IT Technician in overseeing the external IT team. To be considered for this role, you will require the following:
Education, Qualification, and Training
* Understanding of all Microsoft applications, especially O365, Entra, and SharePoint
* Desktop device management and training (acquiring new devices, setup, and support)
Experience
* Proven experience within an IT role
* Experience with MS Autopilot, Intune, Purview, and Defender
* Patch management
* Spam filter management and configuration
Knowledge and Skills
* Ability to manage and create effective relationships with third-party suppliers
Other Job-Related Requirements
* Ability to create technical documentation and manuals
Additional Education, Qualification, and Training
* Microsoft-based qualifications
* Understanding of network devices and systems management (including Cisco Umbrella & Mimecast)
* Experience building complex Atlassian projects
Additional Experience
* Healthcare IT environment experience
* Experience in IT security testing
* Experience using Qualys
Additional Knowledge and Skills
* Understanding of ISO 27001, DPA, and GDPR
Key Responsibilities
* Providing technical support for the Serenova telephony system
* Enhancing the Jira ticketing system for efficiency
* Managing IT assets, including tracking and lifecycle management
* Overseeing NHS.net email aliases, including user setup and removal
* Supporting compliance with ISO27001 and ITIL, and assisting audits like Cyber Essentials/Plus
* Supporting company information security policies and procedures
* Administering Microsoft 365, Entra ID, Autopilot, Intune, and Defender
* Managing user accounts, permissions, and access groups
* Supporting cloud and data storage solutions, primarily SharePoint and OneDrive
* Creating and optimizing SharePoint sites and features
* Collaborating with external IT providers for asset monitoring and improvements
* Managing hardware/software across platforms, including licensing
* Installing and configuring hardware/software
* Contributing to IT strategy and software implementation
* Optimizing existing systems for usability and performance
* Remote diagnostics and troubleshooting
* Logging and resolving support requests, escalating when necessary
