Offer description

We are seeking a highly experienced and motivated talent acquisition professional to join our friendly team at Worthing Hospital on a six-month fixed-term/secondment basis. To succeed in this role, you should have a proven track record in in-house recruitment, preferably within a healthcare setting. Your responsibilities will include partnering with managers to support their recruitment needs, drafting job adverts, managing advertising and social media campaigns, and coordinating assessment processes. You will also develop competency and values-based interview frameworks and build healthy candidate pipelines for key roles such as Healthcare Assistant, Registered Nurse, and Allied Healthcare Professionals. You will work closely with the Head of Resourcing to ensure our processes are candidate and manager-centric and will coach team members to develop talent acquisition capacity. The role involves coordinating senior recruitment campaigns and acting as a subject matter expert, fostering strong relationships with internal and external stakeholders. Excellent written English skills are essential, as you will regularly draft adverts, develop interview questions, and prepare committee papers. This is a full-time position, with four days onsite and one day remote work. Please contact Nicola Holmwood for an informal discussion. Interviews are scheduled for Monday, 28th July. Key responsibilities include: Coaching and developing team members to ensure internal knowledge and capacity meet UHSussex's needs. Ensuring high performance management standards, identifying learning needs, and providing support. Participating in regular one-to-one meetings with the Head of Resourcing. Leading and executing UHSussex's recruitment strategy. Acting as a trusted advisor to hiring managers and shaping talent acquisition strategies. Developing innovative sourcing strategies to attract diverse talent through various channels. Collaborating with marketing and communications teams to enhance employer branding. Working with the people directorate to determine long-term talent needs and developing strategic resourcing solutions. Leading direct sourcing strategies, including headhunting. Designing, delivering, and evaluating both online and face-to-face recruitment sessions for line managers. Developing resourcing policies and strategies with a focus on Equality, Diversity, and Inclusion (EDI). Supporting the development and evaluation of job descriptions prior to advertising.
