Job Title: Field Service Operator
Location: Ellesmere Port
Salary: £30,000 – £31,000 basic
Rising to £36,000 basic once all training is completed
Plus £160 per day when working on site
We’re looking for a hands-on Field Service Operator to join a growing and specialist team. This is a practical, site-based role working across the UK and Europe. This role would really suit someone with mechanical fitter experience.
Due to the nature of the work, you’ll spend periods away from home followed by quieter periods between projects, which will be used for training, development, and vehicle/plant upkeep.
The role:
* Driving and operating MPUs/MRUs
* Working closely with customers on site to agree methods of operation
* Operating processing plant to customer and Field Service Manager requirements
* Sampling insulating oils and carrying out tests (electric strength, water content, gas content, etc.)
* Completing running reports and recording all relevant site data
* Supervising loading/unloading of road tankers and plant draining, flushing, and filling
* Carrying out routine maintenance and running repairs (within competency)
* Maintaining high standards of health & safety at all times
What we’re looking for:
* Full HGV licence –beneficial
* Mechanical fitter experience – highly desirable
* ADR licence – desirable
* CCNSG Safety Passport – desirable
* Good mechanical/electrical understanding
* Strong communication skills – comfortable dealing with all levels on site
* Basic IT skills and confidence using Microsoft packages
* Ability to work independently and as part of a small, close-knit team
* Willingness to travel and stay away from home when required
* Ability to obtain nuclear vetting clearance and pass DBS checks
