IT Support Engineer – Device Migration Project
Onsite - Ruislip, UK
Contract: January 2026 – February 2026
Rate: £25.15/hr(Inside IR35) via Umb

About the Role
We are looking for experienced IT Support Engineers to join a major device migration project in Ruislip. Working as part of an onsite refresh team, you’ll support the setup, deployment, and handover of new laptops while managing legacy device returns in line with project schedules.
This role is ideal for engineers with hands-on experience in laptop builds, configuration, and user support within secure or government environments.
Key Responsibilities
* Set up and operate the Refresh Clinic for device deployment.
* Move, prepare, and refresh laptops as per agreed project processes.
* Collect and hand over devices to end users according to migration schedules.
* Log and update all activities accurately in the workflow management system.
* Conduct daily manual stock checks and report findings to the Site Manager.
* Assist with the secure storage and packaging of devices for refurbishment or disposal.
* Provide clear and timely updates on migration activity and escalate unresolved issues when necessary.
Requirements
* Active SC Clearance (or ability to obtain).
* Experience supporting device rollout, migration, or refresh projects.
* Strong understanding of laptop setup, configuration, and troubleshooting.
* Excellent communication and customer-facing skills.
* Organised and reliable with strong attention to detail.
