As part of our company strategy to be the Number One Local Pub Company and Employer of Choice, we're searching for ambitious Junior Finance Business Partners to join our Finance team. They will support the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight and ownership of specific areas and regions of the business.
Reporting into the Senior Finance Manager, this role is ideal for a newly CIMA Qualified individual or someone in the final stages of the CIMA qualification. The role is hands-on, supporting from an experienced Finance team, and requires working at pace in a lively environment. It offers opportunities to turn complex information into meaningful insights that help drive business performance.
This is a hybrid role, based partly at Marston's modern offices in Wolverhampton, with some travel across our pub estate. Applicants must hold a full UK driving licence.
Responsibilities include:
* Supporting the Finance Business Partners at key Operations meetings, providing financial insight and ownership of specific areas and regions of the business.
* Managing various cost lines, including period end reporting and analysis.
* Ensuring timely approval of invoices for key cost lines.
* Supporting monthly forecasting and annual budgeting processes.
* Analyzing and interpreting data into a clear, reader-friendly format for sharing.
* Developing relationships with the Operations team to serve as a point of contact for financial queries and support.
* Presenting and communicating financial information to Operations and other stakeholders as the role evolves.
Candidate requirements:
* Newly CIMA Qualified or in the latter stages of Part Qualification (Level 3 - Strategic Level).
* Ability to meet tight deadlines weekly and monthly.
* Excellent communication, analytical, and presentation skills.
* Strong IT skills, particularly in Excel and other Microsoft Office applications. Experience with SAP is beneficial but not essential, as full training will be provided.
* A full UK driving licence is desirable due to travel requirements.
