Your new role
You will join the business as a Senior Credit Controller, operating in a standalone capacity with full ownership of the credit control function. Working closely with the Financial Controller, you will play a critical role in maintaining cash flow, managing aged debt, and ensuring robust credit processes.
This is a hands-on position requiring confidence, accountability, and the ability to operate independently while engaging with key stakeholders across the business.
Key responsibilities will include: Full ownership of the end-to-end credit control process
Proactive management of aged debt and cash collection targets
Building and maintaining strong relationships with both internal stakeholders and external clients
Liaising with senior members of staff to resolve complex account queries
Monitoring customer credit limits and risk exposure
Producing regular reports on debtor performance for senior leadership
Identifying and implementing process improvements where appropriate
What you'll need to succeed
To be successful in this role, you will be a highly experienced credit professional with a proactive and resilient approach.
Approximately 15+ years experience in credit control
Proven ability to operate independently in a standalone role
Strong relationship management skills, both internally and externally
Confident communicator, comfortable engaging with senior stakeholders
Highly organised, disciplined, and self-motivated
A hands-on mindset with the ability to take ownership and drive tasks forward
Experience within a fast-paced or demanding environment is highly advantageous
