Temporary Management Accountant (6-Months, potential to go permanent) Location: Leicester (Hybrid - 2-3 days in office) Salary: Up to £45,000 per annum (dependant on experience) Start Date: ASAP The Opportunity Gleeson Recruitment Group are delighted to be partnering with a rapidly expanding organisation who are seeking a Temporary Management Accountant to join their Group function. This is an exciting opportunity to take ownership of the month-end process for a large, multi-entity group operating across multiple business lines. You'll play a key role in ensuring the accuracy, consistency, and timeliness of financial reporting during a period of significant growth and investment. The role is offered on an initial 6-month contract with potential to become permanent. Key Responsibilities: As Temporary Management Accountant, you will be responsible for delivering accurate and insightful financial information across multiple entities. Duties will include: Preparing full month-end accounts for multiple entities, including posting journals, accruals, prepayments, and balance sheet reconciliations. Consolidating results across the group and supporting variance analysis and commentary. Producing management reports to support decision-making and performance tracking. Partnering with operational teams to ensure alignment between financial and commercial performance. Supporting year-end audit and statutory reporting processes. Driving improvements in month-end efficiency through process review and Excel automation. The Ideal Candidate: Qualified, Part-Qualified or QBE will be considered, providing experience is proven and relevant. Proven experience working in a large business or multi-entity group environment. Strong track record in preparing month-end accounts for multiple entities simultaneously. Advanced Excel skills - must be highly proficient in Pivot Tables, VLOOKUPs, and complex formulas. Proven understanding of core accounting principles and systems (GL, AP, AR, Payroll). A confident communicator with a proactive, organised approach Ability to meet deadlines in a fast-paced, ever-evolving environment. Experience with process improvement or system integration would be advantageous. What's on Offer Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum.
