Design Engineer
Overview
A key member of the Design Engineering team, responsible for supporting the full product lifecyclefrom concept through to complianceby producing high-quality systems engineering documentation. Global and established manufacturer.
Key Responsibilities:
* Analyse customer documentation to capture and define system requirements.
* Develop initial design documentation, including:
o Design specifications
o System architecture diagrams
o Project plans (development, verification, safety)
* Collaborate cross-functionally to compile proposals and cost estimates.
* Generate Bills of Materials using the company ERP system.
* Produce design validation and compliance documentation:
o Factory Acceptance Test plans
o Design proving reports
o Final compliance matrices and qualification test reports
* Coordinate environmental and EMC testing at certified facilities (some domestic travel may be required).
* Maintain adherence to Health, Safety, and Environmental standards, promoting a zero-harm culture.
* Liaise effectively with customers and suppliers throughout the project lifecycle.
