As a Catering & Hospitality Assistant you will provide support for barista and food service throughout the day, across our 14 outlets and busy hospitality department (primarily Unio). You will assist with preparation and service of food and drinks, delivered catering, maintain cleanliness of outlets, and assist at a variety of functions and events.
Based in The Hive at the heart of campus, Unio serves students and staff as part of the Campus Kitchen brand, offering fresh coffee, bubble tea, handmade hot flatbreads, croissants and patisserie items. You will help ensure smooth service, uphold high food standards, and create a welcoming atmosphere, whether behind the scenes or interacting with customers.
Is this role for me?
You should be able to work hard in a fast-paced environment, consistently deliver good customer service, and be willing to support colleagues.
Experience in a catering environment with relevant training or experience is beneficial but not essential, as full training and coaching will be provided. Shift patterns include a mix of weekday and weekend work in Unio, with daytime and evening shifts to suit business needs.
This full-time, University term-time-only post (30 weeks per year) is available immediately on an indefinite basis.
Location: The Campus Kitchen, University of East Anglia, Norwich, Norfolk, UK.
