Hours: (Apply online only) Monday to Friday Job Type: Full-time, Permanent Industry: Engineering / Manufacturing About the Role We are seeking an experienced Senior Quality Engineer to support and manage quality processes across our precision engineering business. You’ll play a key role in maintaining and improving the Quality Management System (QMS), leading audits, managing non-conformance systems, and ensuring compliance with customer and industry standards. Key Responsibilities * Maintain and review the company’s Quality Management System (QMS), ensuring compliance and continuous improvement * Lead and participate in internal and external audits (customers, suppliers, accreditation bodies) * Manage non-conformance systems (IRN, SRN, CRN) and ensure effective resolution of NCRs * Communicate NCR outcomes to stakeholders including customers, suppliers, and employees * Provide technical support on quality issues and contribute to quoting activities when required * Oversee the inspection department, including CMM program control and workload management * Manage calibration systems to ensure accuracy and compliance * Ensure correct use of route cards, drawings, and work instructions across production * Support budget control and departmental resource allocation * Promote continuous improvement and drive quality initiatives across the business Candidate Requirements * Proven experience in a Quality Engineer or Senior Quality Engineer role within manufacturing or engineering * Strong understanding of QMS, ISO9001, and continuous improvement methodologies * Knowledge of non-conformance systems and root cause analysis * Experience managing or supporting inspection and calibration systems * Strong auditing skills (internal/external), ideally with internal auditor or Six Sigma Green Belt training * Ability to read and interpret technical drawings and specifications * Excellent communication, organisation, and problem-solving skills * Proactive, detail-oriented, and able to influence at all levels Benefits * Competitive salary * Pension scheme * Training and development opportunities (including Six Sigma, auditing) * Supportive, professional working environment
