Dignity Pet Crematorium is a long-established, family-owned business, renowned for delivering a five-star service, in the beautiful, rural countryside in Hampshire.
We hold strong values when it comes to looking after our families, therefore we are looking for a reliable and hardworking Groundsperson/Maintenance Operative to look after and care for our beautiful gardens, natural woodland & grounds. This is a varied and hands-on role, ensuring that our grounds, buildings and facilities are maintained to a high standard, providing a safe, clean and welcoming environment for staff and visitors.
The ideal candidate will have a passion for grounds maintenance and a keen eye for detail, with a practical, 'can-do' attitude and the ability to take pride in maintaining our site.
Previous relevant experience is required.
Duties include:-
o Maintain gardens and grounds to a high standard
o Perform garden maintenance tasks such as grass cutting, strimming, planting, pruning, weeding and mulching
o Carry out seasonal tasks such as leaf clearance, snow removal, gritting etc.
o Undertake general maintenance and repairs to buildings, fixtures and equipment
o Assist with basic plumbing, carpentry and painting/decorating work
o Ensure all grounds, facilities and equipment are safe, clean and well maintained
o Support site security, deliveries and contractor access as required
o Follow Health & Safety procedures, weekly checks, reporting hazards & defects promptly
o Operate hand tools and power tools effectively and safety
o Assist with Internment of ashes – preparing the gardens and woodlands
o Keep gardens and grounds clean and organised
o Upkeep of tool asset management and servicing requirements
Experience:-
o Previous experience in groundskeeping, gardening or maintenance
o Strong attention to detail and a passion for upkeeping beautiful outdoor spaces
o Proficiency in using hand tools and power tools for gardening/maintenance tasks
o Ability to work independently or as part of a team
o Ability to complete site specific and Health & Safety documentation
o Ability to communicate with clients and members of the public

Experience:-
