Position Overview
We are on the lookout for exceptionally talented individuals with a relevant engineering degree (Electronics, Information Sciences, Software) or similar. Crux Electronics & Software Engineers bring their electronics engineering expertise, including analytical, theoretical, and experimental capabilities to Crux’s client projects.
This is a unique opportunity to help change the face of engineering within the medical devices sector, using innovation to solve complex problems, and deliver creative engineering solutions to both the pharmaceutical and consumer industries.
The role will involve coding embedded firmware in C/C++, GUI development in Python, working with the electronics team to define and structure new embedded projects, maintaining legacy products, and working collaboratively to deliver projects in a timely and professional manner. The role requires a flexible approach and the ability to work well with the wider project team.

Principal Responsibilities
* Writing software requirements, design, and test specifications.
* Complying with the relevant software standards.
* Coding in C/C++ for a variety of embedded platforms.
* Coding user applications and GUIs in Python.
* Maintaining legacy code.
* Working collaboratively with a multi-discipline project team.
* Mentoring and supporting junior team members when required.
* Attending project meetings with clients when required.
What We’re Looking For
Essential
* Embedded C / C++
* Python
* Git
* Relevant degree in an engineering subject (Electronics, Computer Science, Software)
Desirable
* STM32
* Nordic nRF52 / 54
* Zephyr
* Digital signal processing.
* Medical software documentation experience.
* Ability to read electronic schematics.
* Experience in a consultancy environment for the medical, pharma or health industries.
