About the Role
Our client is recruiting Police Emergency Call Handlers to join their Contact Management team. This is a critical role where you will be the first point of contact for emergency (999) and non-emergency (101) callers, providing calm, clear and efficient support to people in a wide range of situations.
This recruitment is to create a pool of successful candidates for upcoming vacancies. Initial training courses are expected to begin from March 2026, with additional intakes later in the year (dates may vary depending on operational needs).
Training & Development
* 7 weeks classroom-based training (Mon–Fri, Mansfield Police Station)
* 6 weeks live-call training at Force HQ
* Opportunities for progression, including moving into a Police Dispatcher role after probation
You must be available for the full 13-week training programme.

* Use computer systems confidently while handling multiple tasks
This is a 24/7, 365-day shift-based role, including nights and weekends. Allowances are paid for shift and weekend work.
