This role is responsible for shaping strategy, expanding market presence, and driving sustainable sales growth across key industries and territories. We are particularly looking for individuals with management experience in the industrial automation sector, with a proven ability to lead teams, manage customer relationships, and deliver strong commercial results. Key Responsibilities * • Lead, manage, and develop the Business Development team to achieve sales targets and growth objectives. * • Define and implement business development strategies that align with company goals and market opportunities. * • Identify, target, and secure new business opportunities across industrial automation and related sectors. * • Provide training, coaching, and mentoring to support continuous team development. * • Build and maintain strong relationships with customers, partners, and stakeholders. * • Collaborate with internal departments (e.g. Product Management, Marketing, Technical Support) to deliver complete solutions. * • Monitor market trends, competitor activity, and customer needs to refine business strategy. * • Provide accurate reporting, forecasting, and performance analysis to senior management. * • Champion a culture of customer focus, technical excellence, and continuous improvement within the team. Skills & Experience Required * • Proven track record in business development, sales, or commercial management within industrial automation or closely related engineering industries. * • Demonstrated success in leading, coaching, and motivating a distributed or field-based sales team. * • Strong commercial acumen with the ability to identify opportunities and deliver results. * • Excellent communication, negotiation, and stakeholder management skills. * • Strategic thinker with the ability to turn vision into actionable business plans. * • Comfortable working in a flexible, geographically dispersed environment. * • Degree in Engineering, Business, or related field preferred (but not essential).
