To provide primary medical service under a General Medical Services contractfor patients registered with the Furnace and Inverary Practice, Argyll and Bute
We are inviting applications from General Medical Practitioners who are registered and have remote and rural experience to deliver high-quality primary medical services to the 1203 registered patients of the Furnace/Inveraray Medical Practice. These services will be provided under a General Medical Services Contract (GMS).
Out-of-hours service provision is covered at Mid Argyll Community Hospital and Integrated Care Centre, Lochgilphead through NHS 24.
Inveraray is a popular tourist destination in Argyll. It has many attractions including Inveraray Castle, the historic Inveraray Jail, the Inveraray Maritime Museum, hotels, cafes and local shops.
Furnace is a charming village located on the West Coast. It is situated 7 miles south of Inveraray and is nestled between the A83 and the stunning west coast of Loch Fyne.

We are inviting applicants to submit an expression of interest to Patricia Morrison, Argyll and ButeHSCP, Primary Care Manager, at patricia.morrison4@nhs.scot The deadline for submission is Friday, 1st June 2024 at 5pm. Once we receive your expression of interest, we will supply you with the practice specification and request a business case. The deadline for business case submission is 7 June 2024 at 5pm. Interviews will be conducted in the following week, and thedate will be confirmed later.
