Job Title: Senior Cloud Engineer Contract Type: 12 Month Fixed Term Contract Function: CIO Location: London, Bishopsgate Salary: £Competitive plus excellent benefits Closing Date: 16 January 2026 How you’ll make a difference The Senior Cloud Engineer is a crucial role within the Cloud Operations Team, focused on the design, implementation, and maintenance of cloud infrastructure and services on the Azure and AWS Cloud Platforms respectively. This role is responsible for ensuring the reliability, scalability, and security of cloud-based solutions, including compute, storage, networking, and security components. You will work with the team in response to incidents related to AWS resources and Azure resources, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent reoccurrence. You’ll configure and manage monitoring solutions (e.g., CloudWatch/Azure Monitor) to track resource utilisation, application performance, and generate alerts for potential issues. What you’ll bring Strong analytical and troubleshooting skills to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues in AWS environments. Ability to work effectively with cross-functional teams, communicate technical concepts clearly, and provide technical guidance to non-technical stakeholders. In-depth knowledge and hands-on experience with AWS services, including but not limited to EC2, S3, RDS, VPC, Lambda, IAM, and Terraform. Familiarity with AWS security services (e.g., AWS Identity and Access Management, AWS Key Management Service) and best practices for securing AWS environments. Proficiency in automation tools like AWS CLI,and infrastructure as code (e.g., Terraform) for efficient management of AWS resources. Understanding of AWS networking concepts, including VPCs, subnets, routing, and security groups.
