We are working with a well-established manufacturing business looking for a Deputy Quality Manager to support and step in for the Quality Manager across all aspects of their Quality Management System.
This is not a box-ticking role. You will be hands-on, visible across the business, and involved in everything from audits through to customer-facing quality issue
What you will be doing
You will be right at the centre of quality across the business, including:
* Planning and delivering internal QMS audits
* Managing supplier quality, performance, KPIs and corrective actions
* Supporting customer investigations and 8D reporting
* Leading on non-conformances and driving corrective actions
* Supporting external audits, including BSI and customer audits
* Maintaining calibration systems and inspection processes
* Contributing to continuous improvement and risk-based thinking
What we are looking for
This role will suit someone who already has a strong grounding in quality within a manufacturing environment and is ready to step up or broaden their impact.
* Strong knowledge of ISO9001:2015, ideally EN9120
* Qualified ISO9001:2015 internal auditor
* Experience in electro-mechanical or engineering manufacturing
* Confident handling investigations, audits and supplier quality
* Detail-focused, organised and able to prioritise effectively
* Comfortable working across teams and dealing with customers
What is on offer
* Salary £30,000 to £34,000 depending on experience
* 39.5 hours per week, early finish on a Friday
* 31 days holiday including bank holidays, increasing to 33
* Contributory pension
* Two bonuses per year
