About the Role
Amberstone Security (part of ASEL) is seeking a Retail Security Officer to provide visible deterrence, respond to incidents, manage incident reports and collaborate with local authorities in the Rochdale store.
Base Pay
Hourly Rate: £12.60. Hours: 49.5 per week. Shift Pattern: 5 on, 2 off (including weekends).
Responsibilities
* Patrol the shop floor and deter criminal activity.
* Assess and identify vulnerabilities and work proactively to minimise risk.
* Liaise with management and local authorities when applicable.
* Manage vulnerable persons with empathy to avoid distress.
* Complete incident reports; digitally record incidents using tablets or phones.
* Assist with colleague and contractor searches as per company policy.
Person & Qualifications
To be an effective Security Officer you will need to be a confident communicator, welcoming and patient with customers, and able to handle conflict in a professional manner.
Requirements
* Valid SIA licence (Guarding, Door Supervisor, or equivalents).
* Previous retail security experience is an advantage but not essential; full training will be provided.
